Agile Project Manager – Data and Analytics

The Agile Project Manager will be a key partner to the Data & Analytics Manager, responsible for driving the successful delivery of data and analytics initiatives by combining agile project management practices with technical acumen and strong team engagement.

The project manager will work closely and effectively with the various services leaders, general managers, project team members and external parties to ensure projects are correctly defined, planned and delivered.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and the Data & Analytics team to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that align with business needs.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Actively contribute as a core team member, working side-by-side with analysts, engineers, and business partners to help drive progress and resolve challenges.
  • Create and maintain project artifacts such as project charters, sprint roadmaps, requirement documents, and status reports.
  • Develop project delivery schedule, cost estimates, resource requirements and capital expenditure plan where required.
  • Facilitate the gathering of information to perform high level analysis and work with the business partners and the Data & Analytics team to define the high-level solution architecture and create a high-level business case.
  • Contribute to testing efforts, including defining acceptance criteria, coordinating UAT, and verifying deliverables meet expectations.
  • Help to design and build the Framework for the Data and Analytics Center of Excellence.
  • Proactively identify and address blockers, risks, or misalignments.
  • Identify, resolve or escalate all project issues.
  • Execute, track and monitor progress to plan and communicate the appropriate project information to all relevant project team members and stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and agile maturity within the team.
  • Support coordination of cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between developers, data engineers, analysts, and business partners.

The ideal candidate for the position will have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Agile project management, ideally in Data & Analytics or Business Intelligence environments.
  • Strong familiarity with Azure DevOps, or similar tools for Agile project tracking and collaboration.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives with varying scopes and complexities.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills; able to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Comfortable understanding technical topics such as data pipelines, data models, Power BI, and analytics workflows.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and hands-on mindset with a passion for enabling team success.
  • Independence, initiative and drive to lead projects and move them forward.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and operating under uncertainty.
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM) is an asset.
