Life Insurance Bilingual customer service agent (Remote)

Essential Job Functions

  • Answers telephones and responds to complex customer questions and / or forwards call to appropriate personnel.
  • Research customer inquiries and responds to appropriate parties in a timely manner.
  • Records calls, processes requests and updates account history with results of inquiry to include proper documentation.
  • Processes and distributes incoming and outgoing mail for multiple clients in accordance with established service level agreements.
  • Performs data entry and matches documents to appropriate accounts to verify up to date and accurate information.
  • Interfaces with team personnel, management, and customers in reference to customer service issues.
  • Reviews client reports on a weekly basis to ensure data integrity; prepares and submits report to management.
  • Reviews and recommends modifications to procedures and workflow as necessary to ensure efficient and effective processing of transactions.
  • Monitors daily transactions to ensure policy and procedures are in accordance with service level agreement.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Four or more years of customer service or other telephone experience
  • Experience working with organizational functions and personnel
  • Experience working with fax machines, computer software, and telephone technology
  • Experience working with and skilled in the use of help desk software

Other Qualifications

  • Business and analytical problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions

The Customer Service Representative role is a fantastic opportunity for you to kickstart a new career and learn more about the financial services / insurance industry. We provide a full training program to teach you what you need to know; so, whether you are well-seasoned or just starting out, you will have the resources necessary you get you off to a successful start.

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the front-line link between DXC and our clients in a call centre environment (hours 8 : 00am - 7 : 00pm) delivering exceptional customer service.

You will :

Provide policy holder and product information to clients and advisors

Document issues and respond to requests by determining appropriate actionin order to resolve situations

Follow up with clients within established service standards

Maintain service records

Ensure service standards are maintained or excelled

Participate in recommending improvements to service and procedures

Process non-financial transactions when necessary

What we are looking for…

High school diploma

1-2 years of client service experience

Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; Fluency in written and verbal English and French a great asset

Positive, service-oriented attitude with a commitment in offering superior service

Knowledge of the life insurance industry an asset; however, not required (we are willing to consider those new to the industry)
