Job summary

Book Depot Inc. is hiring a Team Leader (Restock) for permanent full‑time afternoon shifts at the Thorold distribution centre. You will support the department group leader, mentor team members, and ensure accurate book handling and smooth operations.

Qualifications include Grade 12, warehouse mentoring experience, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Health benefits and safety footwear are provided onsite.

Qualifications

• Completion of grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience coaching, training, and mentoring within a warehouse setting is an asset.
• Positive attitude, punctual and strong work ethic; ability to work in a high-performing and fast-paced work environment.
• Good understanding of computers.
• Good English communication skills (oral and written).
• Strong attention to detail, identifying and sharing continuous improvement opportunities.
• Ability to work independently, while part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Work afternoon shifts (5 shifts per week) and arrive on time.
• Support the Group Leader and mentor team members to achieve results.
• Coach, mentor and train team members on processes and onboarding.
• Identify and resolve engagement and performance issues with support.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and practices.
• Promote a clean, organized, safe and supportive team environment.
• Participate in Lean and other process-improvement projects.
• Regularly lift totes and boxes around 45 lbs.
• Use the warehouse management software to verify inventory and orders.
• Carry out other related responsibilities as required.
