Job summary

Book Depot Inc. seeks a Maintenance Group Leader (Afternoon) to oversee the 3:45 p.m.–12:15 a.m. shift at the Thorold distribution centre. You will lead maintenance staff, drive PM/compliance, and coordinate with operations to minimize downtime and improve reliability.

You will develop preventive maintenance, manage parts and quotes, and mentor team members while upholding safety standards and Lean improvements to support operations across Thorold and St. Catharines sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with PLC familiarity.
• Certified in Millwright discipline and safety practices (LOTO).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Maintenance Associates on the afternoon shift, coaching and directing repair work.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and PM data analysis.
• Coordinate with Facilities Director to align maintenance with production schedules.
• Ensure safety practices, inventory control, and effective parts sourcing.
• Participate in Lean/5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
