Job summary

Premier Truck Group in Mississauga is hiring a Parts Dispatcher to develop and optimize delivery routes, handle customer inquiries, and direct drivers throughout deliveries. The role requires strong computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

You will interact with management to adjust routes, maintain driver contact, and build solid relationships with drivers, order pickers and customers to ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Strong computer and communication skills required.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to understand and recognize parts numbers and source codes to ensure proper selection of parts.
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion with instructions.
• Ability to interact well with others.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Works well in a team environment.
• 1-year preferred experience in a Truck Dealership or Parts Supplier.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; one year or more of related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Develop, alter, and optimize delivery routes utilizing an electronic routing system.
• Handle all customer inquiries regarding orders by phone or email.
• Organize and direct drivers on their deliveries.
• Must be willing to participate in training and to perform other duties as requested by management.
• Develop delivery routes and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day.
• Collaborate with management to modify daily routes to accommodate customer needs.
• Act as a communication liaison through the Bluetooth phone and answer incoming driver calls.
• Cultivate strong relationships with drivers, order pickers and customers to reduce stress from last-minute schedule changes.
• Monitor route changes or road construction issues and adjust routes for timely deliveries.
• Stand, sit, crawl, climb, stoop, kneel, reach, grasp; works outdoors when needed.

Parts Dispatcher Responsibilities:

• Develop, alter, and optimize delivery routes utilizing an electronic routing system
• Handling all customer inquiries regarding orders by phone or email
• The ability to organize and direct drivers on their deliveries
• Must be willing to participate in training and to perform other duties as requested by management
• Develop delivery routes and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day
• Collaborate with management to modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of customers
• Act as a communication liaison through the Bluetooth phone and answer incoming phone calls from drivers on the road
• Cultivate strong relationships with drivers, order pickers and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes
• Monitor any sudden route changes or road construction issues and work with drivers to establish new routes for timely deliveries
• The ability to stand, sit, crawl, climb, stoop, kneel, reach, grasp.
• Works in a covered area but will also work outside at times and could experience heat and cold, hazards and noise

Parts Dispatcher Requirements:

• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
• Ability to interact well with others.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Works well in a team environment.
• 1-year preferred experience in a Truck Dealership or Parts Supplier
• High School Diploma or equivalent; one year or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Training in Dealership environment.
• $23-$25 hourly
• Tuesday - Friday 11:30am- 8pm and Saturday 8am - 5pm
