Job summary

Premier Truck Group is hiring a Parts Dispatcher in Mississauga. You will develop routes, manage driver deliveries, and handle customer inquiries by phone or email while coordinating with management to adjust routes as needed.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work in varying temperatures both indoors and outdoors. High School Diploma and 1+ year in a truck/dealership environment preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 1+ year in a truck dealership or parts environment.
• Strong ability to recognize parts numbers and source codes to ensure proper selection.
• Able to work in varying temperatures and in outdoor/indoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, alter, and optimize delivery routes using an electronic system.
• Handle all customer inquiries regarding orders by phone or email.
• Direct and organize drivers on deliveries.
• Participate in training and perform other duties as requested by management.
• Maintain contact with drivers and update routes throughout the day.
• Collaborate with management to modify routes for customer needs.
• Act as a liaison via Bluetooth phone and answer driver calls.
• Build strong relationships with drivers, order pickers and customers.
• Monitor route changes or road issues and establish new routes for timely deliveries.
• Ensure safety: stand, sit, crawl, climb, stoop, kneel, reach, grasp.
• Work in a covered area with possible heat/cold, hazards, and noise.

Parts Dispatcher Responsibilities:

• Develop, alter, and optimize delivery routes utilizing an electronic routing system
• Handling all customer inquiries regarding orders by phone or email
• The ability to organize and direct drivers on their deliveries
• Must be willing to participate in training and to perform other duties as requested by management
• Develop delivery routes and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day
• Collaborate with management to modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of customers
• Act as a communication liaison through the Bluetooth phone and answer incoming phone calls from drivers on the road
• Cultivate strong relationships with drivers, order pickers and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes
• Monitor any sudden route changes or road construction issues and work with drivers to establish new routes for timely deliveries
• The ability to stand, sit, crawl, climb, stoop, kneel, reach, grasp.
• Works in a covered area but will also work outside at times and could experience heat and cold, hazards and noise

Parts Dispatcher Requirements:

• Strong Computer and communication skills required
• Must be able to work in varying temperatures
• Capable of understanding and recognizing parts numbers and source codes to ensure proper selection of parts
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
• Ability to interact well with others.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Works well in a team environment.
• 1-year preferred experience in a Truck Dealership or Parts Supplier
• High School Diploma or equivalent; one year or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Training in Dealership environment.

$23-$25 hourly

Tuesday - Friday 11:30am- 8pm and Saturday 8am - 5pm
