Job summary

The Rec Spot is seeking energetic program leaders to join the before-and-after school team in the Leslieville area. With HIGH FIVE Accreditation, candidates will deliver engaging activities rooted in play and inquiry for school-age children.

Roles are part-time with split shifts, Monday to Friday, mornings 7:20–9:30 and afternoons 2:30–6:00, at TRS Roden Public School in Toronto. Availability weekdays is required. Hourly pay ranges from $20.00 to $23.00 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in community or recreational settings.
• Understanding of child development.
• Able to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
• Physically able to lift up to 20 kg.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and deliver engaging recreational experiences for school-age children.
• Lead age-appropriate activities (arts, games, experiments, free play).
• Plan, prepare and serve healthy snacks.
• Interact with children in a supportive, inclusive manner.
• Engage with parents and caregivers with care and cultural awareness.
• Perform additional tasks as required.
