Job summary

M1 Composites Technology Inc. is seeking an experienced Welder for aerospace applications. The role involves precision TIG/GTAW and MIG/GMAW welding on diverse materials, repairing aircraft components, and fabricating tooling and production supports.

Qualifications

  • Experience as welder in aerospace or precision industries.
  • Strong TIG/GTAW and MIG/GMAW welding skills.
  • Experience welding aluminum, stainless steel, Inconel and titanium.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Aerospace welding certification is an asset.
  • English language skills are essential; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • TIG/GTAW and MIG/GMAW welding on aluminum, stainless steel, Inconel, and titanium.
  • Welding and repair of aerospace sheet metal and structural components.
  • Fabrication of jigs, fixtures, racks, tooling, and production supports.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Supporting prototype, repair, and manufacturing projects.
  • Inspecting welds to ensure quality and compliance with aerospace requirements.
  • Collaborating with Engineering and Production to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Join our growing aerospace team and work on a variety of projects from welding and repairing aircraft components to building jigs, fixtures, racks, tooling, and production supports. You’ll collaborate with Engineering and Production in an environment where the work is diverse and your expertise makes a difference.

What You’ll Do
  • TIG/GTAW and MIG/GMAW welding on aluminum, stainless steel, Inconel, and titanium
  • Welding and repair of aerospace sheet metal and structural components
  • Fabrication of jigs, fixtures, racks, tooling, and production supports
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions
  • Supporting prototype, repair, and manufacturing projects
  • Inspecting welds to ensure quality and compliance with aerospace requirements
  • Working with Engineering and Production to troubleshoot technical issues and improve processes
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience as a Welder, ideally in aerospace, aircraft MRO, manufacturing, fabrication, or another precision industry
  • Strong TIG/GTAW and MIG/GMAW welding skills
  • Experience welding aluminum, stainless steel, Inconel and/or titanium
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Initiative, resourcefulness, and a hands-on approach
  • Aerospace welding certification is an asset
  • English, French is an asset
  • The position requires excellent written and spoken English skills. The role involves reading and understanding technical documents in English on a daily basis, particularly from international companies, as well as regular communication with clients, suppliers, and other international stakeholders.
