Job summary

IMP Solutions, based in Canada, is seeking a Systems Administrator / Systems Analyst to join the Aerospace Development & Support team in Gander, NL. This 4‑month contract role offers potential extension to permanent status based on organizational needs.

You will manage branch office IT infrastructure and support proprietary aerospace software and services. The ideal candidate has strong Microsoft Server and Active Directory experience, Linux know-how, and SQL/database familiarity, with the

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Information Technology desirable or equivalent work experience.
• Diverse support skill set with background in Microsoft Server Administration, Active Directory, and Linux.
• Knowledge of database administration, including working knowledge of SQL.
• Solid understanding of basic networking, backup, and data recovery procedures.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Visio and Project.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated team player with a track record for meeting deadlines and high responsibility.
• Willingness to occasionally work outside of normal business hours.
• Eligible to acquire enhanced reliability security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain branch office infrastructure (servers, clients, network).
• Utilize technologies: Hyper-V, Veeam, Docker, Linux, Windows Server & Desktop, Oracle, Ansible.
• Maintain Windows server/client configurations and utilities.
• Support 30+ Windows clients and related network devices.
• Act as System Expert for proprietary applications.
• Provide after-hours support with the broader team.
• Ensure backups are complete and verified.
• Perform issue management and reporting.
• Support Aerospace team with related duties.
