Job summary

IMP Aerospace & Defence is seeking a Materiel Database Administrator in Canada. The role focuses on ensuring data integrity in the JD Edwards material database, supporting audits, and maintaining accurate Item Masters and inventory records.

Collaboration with planners, buyers, and engineers is essential to meet production needs. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (college degree preferred), strong organizational and analytical skills, experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards,

Qualifications

Minimum High School completion with suitable work experience.
Preference will be given to those with a college diploma or undergraduate degree.
Familiarity with AS 9100 quality environments is an asset.
Incumbents must be able to pass PWGSC and Transport Canada security clearances.
Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian CGP, ITAR and Canadian government security clearances.

Responsibilities

Ensure input of accurate data into the JD Edwards material database as per IAW, SPPs, ADs, QSPs and Work Instructions.
Support audits and analyses of the inventory database.
Correct and update the database to maintain accuracy and consistency of records.
Categorize parts for inventory monitoring purposes.
Maintain Item Masters, Item Branch shelf life, CGP, and MSDS data requirements.
Collaborate with Planners, Buyers, Materiel Coordinators, and Engineers to build and maintain Item Master data and cross references.
Ensure new Item Branches are built in the correct Branch Plant per contract and schedule requirements.
Complete inventory transactions including PO reversals, reversing issues, and transfers.
Generate and act on reports (Referral, Shortage, Materiel).
Minimize shortages to protect production schedules.
Update Work Order Line Types for new Item Branches.
Identify and resolve inventory control issues proactively.
Read, understand and improve inventory-related procedures and directives.
Recommend ways to reduce inventory holdings.
Participate in meetings and support cross-departmental collaboration.
Stay current on common user applications for aircraft supply.
