Job summary

Flexjet is seeking an Operations Structural Support Engineer to resolve production issues and improve manufacturability for aircraft installations. The role covers concepts to kickoff, ensuring designs are understood by production teams and proactively preventing issues on the shop floor.

Ideal candidate has aerospace/mechanical background with 3+ years in structural design, testing and risk analysis, and proficiency in SolidWorks/AutoCAD.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with design, testing, and risk analysis of mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of CAR525 or FAR25 applicable to interiors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • P.Eng. accreditation or eligibility preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of AS9100 or similar QMS.

Responsibilities

  • Provide structures engineering support for interior/exterior installations on aircraft.
  • Ensure production teams understand designs and proactively prevent issues.
  • Create drawings and documents for modification and installation of structural/components.
  • Design and coordinate material and structural repairs.
  • Assist with planning equipment installation locations.
  • Coordinate structural aspects of project schedules with managers.
  • Support estimation/quoting for aircraft modification.
  • Interface with suppliers and integration teams.
