Job summary

Jobgether, in partnership with a client in Canada, seeks a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure DO-178C/DO-254 compliance for safety-critical software across multiple programs. This remote Canada role involves collaboration with engineering, certification stakeholders, and DERs to maintain traceability and robust verification evidence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in software/hardware engineering or related tech.
• 2+ years in software quality assurance.
• Strong documentation and traceability skills.
• Experience with certification or compliance activities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support DO-178C/DO-254 certification activities across programs.
• Prepare and refine certification artifacts (PSAC, SDP, SVP, SCMP).
• Conduct QA audits and track corrective actions.
• Maintain certification evidence packages and manage deliverables.
• Support configuration management and change control processes.
• Assist for customer and internal audits with DERs/Safety Managers.
• Ensure requirements traceability across lifecycle activities.
• Identify gaps in safety-related verification coverage and coordinate fixes.
• Improve SQA templates, tools, and workflows.
