Job summary

MHI Canada Aerospace, Inc. in Mississauga is seeking a Receiving Inspector II-IV to inspect assembled components, installation kits and mechanical/hydraulic systems to ensure data requirements are met for aircraft assembly and First Article Inspection.

The role involves approving or rejecting received parts based on dimensional, functional and visual inspections, with shifts that require flexibility for rotating schedules and a strong emphasis on teamwork and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Receiving Inspector II training and prerequisites.
• Knowledge and working experience with Non-conformance and Corrective Action Process.
• Advanced blueprint reading skills for interpretation of drawings, part lists, GD&T tolerances and symbols.
• Must be comfortable working in a noisy, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.
• Criminal background check required for candidates aged 18 and over.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspections with appropriate equipment.
• Verify certification and conformity to Engineering and Production Order Specifications.
• Record information in required logs.
• Communicate with leadership on discrepancies and facilitate returns, properly mark and record rejected material.
• Segregate and quarantine rejected product.
• Use I-Tag system to reject parts not meeting engineering specifications.
• Monitor daily I-Tag status and close pen I-Tags timely.
• Collaborate with other departments on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Practice good housekeeping (5S) and follow quality policies.
