Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Buyer to join its procurement team in Calgary, AB, supporting final assembly of an aircraft program. The role requires rapid proficiency with SAP and IFS ERP to manage P2P workload and vendor relations across operations, engineering, quality and finance.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor of Commerce or similar, 3+ years in procurement within manufacturing, strong Excel and data analysis skills, and experience with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in a procurement role within manufacturing or operations environments.
• Intermediate/advanced computer and data analysis skills are desirable.
• Strong Excel skills and data-driven decision abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vendor-supplied products and services meet regulatory, customer and company requirements.
• On-time release of purchase orders to ERP demand and lead times.
• On-time delivery of vendor-supplied aircraft products and services.
• Maintain PO data integrity and manage ERP exception messages.
• Collaborate with Supplier Quality Assurance to ensure vendors adhere to the Quality Management System.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate vendor-related engineering changes.
