Job summary

Safran is hiring at the Mirabel plant for a metallurgy operator who will perform heat treatment, shot peening, and related metallurgical processes on landing gear components. You will carry out inspections, testing, and documentation to ensure quality and compliance.

Ideal candidates have metallurgy education in DEC/AEC or aerospace foundry, plus hands-on experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Metallurgy knowledge and hands-on experience in heat treatment or related processes.
• Experience with laboratory tests (hardness, tensile, saturation).
• Ability to perform non-destructive testing and visual inspections to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble parts and perform heat treatment or shot peening operations.
• Conduct laboratory tests (hardness, tensile, saturation).
• Perform inspections using non-destructive testing and visual checks.
• Document quality assurance records and contribute to safety, quality, and on-time deliveries.
