Job summary

Canada Rocket Company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Designer (Structures) to design load-bearing and pressure-holding airframe components, across tanks, interstages, and assemblies. You will work in CAD, perform analyses, and coordinate with avionics, propulsion, and manufacturing to turn concepts into flight hardware.

The role blends hands-on design, analysis, and manufacturing discussion in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

Experience in mechanical design for aerospace or similar demanding hardware.
Proficient in CAD and creating manufacturable hardware definitions.
Strong fundamentals in statics, strength of materials, and tolerances.
Ability to perform analyses with first-principles calculations or FEM/FEA.

Responsibilities

Design structural hardware such as tanks, interstages, and assemblies across the vehicle.
Own structural systems from concept through design, manufacture, test, and flight integration.
Translate requirements into mechanical concepts and released hardware meeting targets.
Develop CAD models, drawings, and release packages for prototype to flight configurations.
Perform analyses including hand calculations and FEM/FEA as needed.
Coordinate with avionics, propulsion, fluids, manufacturing, and test teams.
