Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret plans, technical drawings, and manufacturing sheets to determine machining methods.
  • Perform machining operations on conventional machines such as lathes, milling machines, drills, and other workshop equipment.
  • Prepare, install, and adjust machines, cutting tools, and holding devices for manufacturing parts.
  • Make adjustments to ensure the precision and conformity of machined parts.
  • Measure and inspect parts with precision instruments like calipers, micrometers, gauges.
  • Make necessary adjustments during production.
  • Respect dimensional tolerances and quality standards of the aeronautical sector.
  • Identify and report any non-conformity or anomaly detected during machining or inspection.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and keep workstation clean and safe.
  • Complete production documents and ensure traceability of operations.
  • Respect health and safety procedures and company standards.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and methods teams to ensure smooth operations.

Aeronautical Machinist - Conventional machines (manual control tools)

The aeronautical machinist is responsible for carrying out various machining operations on parts intended for the aeronautical sector, using conventional machine tools. They ensure compliance with plans, technical specifications, and quality standards applicable to the aeronautical industry.

Main responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret plans, technical drawings, and manufacturing sheets to determine appropriate machining methods;
  • Perform machining operations on conventional machines such as lathes, milling machines, drills, and other workshop equipment;
  • Prepare, install, and adjust machines, cutting tools, and holding devices necessary for manufacturing parts;
  • Make necessary adjustments to ensure the precision and conformity of machined parts;
  • Measure and inspect parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other control tools;
  • Make necessary adjustments and corrections during production;
  • Respect dimensional tolerances, technical requirements, and quality standards of the aeronautical sector;
  • Identify and report any non-conformity or anomaly detected during machining or inspection;
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and keep their workstation clean and safe;
  • Complete production documents and ensure traceability of operations performed;
  • Respect health and safety procedures as well as the company's internal standards and procedures;
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and methods teams to ensure smooth operations.
