Job summary

CMHC in Ottawa/Montreal seeks an experienced Advisor, Solutions Architect to lead Microsoft Dynamics 365 architecture in complex enterprise environments. You will blend strategic design with hands-on troubleshooting and collaborate across IT and business teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and 10+ years delivering enterprise apps and integrations.
• Expertise across D365 platforms incl. Customer Engagement, Finance & Operations, and Customer Insights.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse).
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise integration architectures and patterns.
• Strong proficiency with REST and SOAP APIs and enterprise integration technologies.
• Experience with Azure Integration Services and DevOps practices.

About The Role

Join the Enterprise Architecture and Artificial Intelligence team, in the Advisor, Solutions Architect position.

We are seeking a highly skilled Advisor in Solution Architecture, experienced with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), who thrives in complex enterprise environments and enjoys solving challenging business and technical problems. This role requires an individual who can seamlessly transition between strategic architecture, technical leadership, and hands‑on troubleshooting.

Our D365 ecosystem supports multiple business‑critical processes and integrates with numerous enterprise applications, cloud services, and external platforms. The ideal candidate will possess deep D365 expertise, strong integration knowledge, and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues across the entire technology stack.

This is not a pure architect role. We are looking for someone who is equally comfortable designing solutions, reviewing architecture, configuring D365, analyzing logs, troubleshooting integrations, and working directly with development and operations teams to resolve production issues.

What You’ll Do

• Act as a primary Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) technical expert, providing architectural leadership and direction for initiatives and platform enhancements.
• Lead solution design decisions, ensuring alignment with business requirements while balancing scalability, security, maintainability, and governance.
• Enforce D365 best practices, governance standards, and Microsoft‑recommended architectures and patterns.
• Design, support, monitor, and continuously improve integrations between D365 and enterprise systems to maximize reliability and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues involving APIs, middleware, ETL processes, messaging platforms, cloud services, and data synchronization through root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, business, and vendor teams to address cross‑platform challenges and deliver scalable technical solutions.
• Provide hands‑on technical delivery, including D365 configuration, workflow optimization, system design, implementation, testing, deployments, production support, and incident resolution.
• Review code and technical solutions, maintain architecture and operational documentation, mentor technical teams, and communicate complex concepts effectively to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

What You Should Have

• At least 7+ years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and 10+ years delivering enterprise applications and integration solutions.
• A deep expertise in one or more D365 platforms, including Customer Engagement (Sales, Customer Service, Marketing), Finance & Operations, and Customer Insights.
• A strong knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
• A proven experience designing and implementing enterprise integration architectures and patterns.
• A strong proficiency with REST and SOAP APIs and enterprise integration technologies.
• An experience with Azure Integration Services, Azure Logic Apps, Service Bus, and event‑driven architectures.
• An expertise in data integration, synchronization, and troubleshooting distributed systems and complex production environments.
• A solid understanding of security, authentication, authorization, enterprise architecture principles, and experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
