Job summary

Desjardins in Montreal is seeking a Personal Advisor to build and maintain relationships with members and clients, tailoring service to client needs and promoting specialized products and services. The role focuses on advisory skills, client satisfaction, and data-driven decision making.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in French with additional Spanish language skills, and have experience serving diverse communities across Quebec and Ontario.

Qualifications

• College diploma in a related field.
• A minimum of one year of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of French is required.
• Proficiency in Spanish (upper-intermediate) is preferred for task-related interactions.
• Experience with diverse cultural communities and newcomers in Quebec/ Ontario is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish advisory relationships and identify needs to support client retention.

As a personal advisor, you help solicit and develop and maintain business relationships with members and clients. You provide service tailored to client needs in accordance with current strategies and practices.

You help build and maintain business relationships with members and clients. You drive results by reviewing client requests and promoting and selling specialized products and services that meet client needs.

You ensure member/client satisfaction and service quality in accordance with the organization’s standards and procedures. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. More specifically, you will be required to:

• Establish an advisory relationship by identifying current and potential needs and supporting client retention


• Advise members and clients on products, services and solutions and ensure their satisfaction


• Analyze and meet client needs, handle requests and follow up as needed


• Collect, compile and analyze data. Prepare reports and recommendations


• Stay on top of the latest standards, products and services in your field.
