Job summary

Elk Valley Resources (EVR) is seeking an Advisor, Human Resources to lead a broad range of HR services across the organization. You will build relationships with employees at all levels and support internal operations with integrity and confidentiality.

The successful candidate will bring a broad HR background, handle tight deadlines, and contribute to a high-performance work environment in the Elk Valley region of British Columbia.

Qualifications

• Degree in Human Resources, Business or Organizational Development or equivalent.
• Minimum six years of experience in Human Resources.
• Experience in a unionized work environment is an asset.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies.
• Provide coaching on career development, compensation, recruiting, performance, and employee relations.
• Navigate through labour relations issues.
• Investigate employee relations matters with confidentiality, consistency and sensitivity.
• Support and participate in the People Central Performance and Development programs and the HRIS.
• Generate regular HR reports and ad hoc HR metrics.

About the role:

Reporting to the Senior Advisor, Human Resources (HR), the Advisor, Human Resources is responsible for leading and assisting with a broad range of HR services. You will be a key figure supporting internal operations and have the opportunity to build relationships with employees across diverse departments and at all levels of the business.

The right candidate will have a broad experience in human resources and the ability to perform with a high level of integrity and confidentiality.

In this role you will:

• Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
• Provide coaching and resources to employees and supervisors with respect to career development, compensation, recruiting, performance management and employee relations
• Navigate through various labour relations issues
• Investigate employee relations issues including employee matters and performance issues while maintaining confidentiality, consistency, and sensitivity
• Support and participate in the disability management process
• Provide support for the People Central Performance and Development programs and the Human Resources Information System
• Generate regular and ad hoc reports on specific HR metrics
• Facilitate supervisor development workshops on HR topicsDegree in Human Resources, Business or Organizational Development or equivalent
• Minimum six years of Human Resources
• Experience in unionized work environment is an asset
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent

Salary range: 96,000 - 112,600 CAD /year

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
