About the role

Reporting to the Senior Lead, Human Resources, the Advisor, Human Resources will provide HR support to our functional groups and is responsible for the entire full employee life cycle. This is an 18‑month temporary position based out of our Calgary office.

To be successful, we are looking for someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating an effective ability to engage with diverse stakeholders. You will possess the ability to positively influence, partner with, and coach others, fostering collaboration and growth within the team, being capable of working independently on projects from start to finish, demonstrating initiative and self‑direction. Additionally, maintaining confidentiality and upholding a high level of integrity are essential qualities we value from our team members.

In this role you will
  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
  • Create and maintain pro‑active, effective, and trusting relationships with leaders and employees to provide advice, guidance, and counsel on HR matters
  • Participate in talent management activities for your client group, including succession planning, performance management and talent development
  • Support employee development and training programs through communication, education, and recommendation of various internal and external programs
  • Assist in the implementation, and administration of human resources policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment law
  • Investigate employee relations issues including employee matters and performance issues while maintaining confidentiality, consistency, and sensitivity
  • Support and participate in the disability management process
Requirements
  • Minimum six years related human resources experience
  • Degree in Business Administration, Commerce or equivalent
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent

Salary: $90,080 / year
