Advanced Support Engineer - APAC Diamond

About the Role

As a leading vendor in Cyber Security, Check Point Software is seeking an Advanced Support Engineer for the APAC region. This role involves providing technical support, facilitating installations and maintenance, and supporting customer environments. The position requires working a shift starting at 6pm local time, with occasional travel to US and Canadian customer sites.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical support and documentation for customer environments.
  2. Communicate effectively with clients at technical and management levels.
  3. Travel to customer sites in the US and Canada as needed.
  4. Manage customer expectations and resolve technical issues promptly.
  5. Maintain troubleshooting skills on Check Point products and industry technologies.
Qualifications
  • 5-8 years of enterprise networking and Internet Security experience.
  • Experience with Check Point products.
  • Understanding of networking and Linux-based OS functions.
  • Experience with VPN configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of OSI model Layers 1-4.
  • Proficiency with traffic analysis tools like Wireshark.
  • Understanding of TCP/UDP protocols, ARP, VoIP, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
  • Basic UNIX shell scripting skills.
  • Support experience with customers, resellers, and field personnel.
  • Eligibility to work without sponsorship.
  • This is a hybrid role requiring two days in the office weekly where applicable.

Note: Must be comfortable working a shift starting at 6pm local time. The position is full-time and based in locations with Check Point offices.
