Dexcent Inc. - Advanced Process Control Engineer

Dexcent Inc. has an opportunity for an Advanced Process Control Engineer to join our growing team in Fort McMurray, AB. The candidate must be onsite and willing to relocate. We support both local and international applicants, including visa sponsorship where applicable.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Process, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field (preferred).
  • Advanced Process Control (APC) Certification from recognized institutions (preferred).
  • At least 3 years experience with OSIsoft PI Historian in industrial or process control environments.
  • At least 5 years experience with Honeywell Experion PKS, ESVT/EST, Honeywell TPS / TDC3000.
  • Experience with process controllers such as C300, C200, HPM, APM.
  • Experience integrating third-party PLC/devices with DCS.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols like Modbus RTU & TCP/IP, Serial Communication RS 485, RS 422, RS 232.
  • Networking skills including Fault Tolerant Ethernet (FTE).
  • Experience configuring and administering Windows domain (Experion and TPS).
  • OPC connectivity expertise.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel macros and data analysis tools like SEEQ or Honeywell Suite.
  • Experience with configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting process control schemes in Honeywell TDC3000.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and troubleshoot APCs, ensuring optimal performance and addressing issues promptly.
  • Report APC performance metrics weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Develop and maintain APC solutions, providing training to operators and stakeholders.
  • Analyze data using Excel and other applications.
  • Support software and hardware upgrades related to APC equipment.
  • Perform other duties as required.
