Job summary

Medavie Health Services West is seeking a Community Paramedicine Paramedic to deliver non-emergency in-home and community care and to work with primary care providers. The successful applicant will perform advanced patient assessments and provide treatment within their scope of practice, including coordination with physicians and nurses.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered, active ACP or eligible for registration.
• Valid Saskatchewan Class 4 Driver's License is required.
• ACLS, ITLS and CPR C for Health Care Providers.
• Current (within last 60 days) criminal record check including vulnerable sector check and a current (within last 30 days) driver’s abstract.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent advance clinical care and work with primary care providers.
• Safe transportation of patients, including non-emergency and interfacility transfers.
• Maintain ambulances and related equipment according to patient needs and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and the medical community to ensure continuity of care.
