Job summary

Sirius Wilderness Medecine provides medical support services to remote Canadian locations, including mining and construction sites. The role involves delivering medical care to ill or injured workers, supported by a remote on-call physician and collective prescriptions.

You will administer first aid, manage care inventories, and compile health histories into worker files. Travel to client sites with lodging and meals arranged by the employer is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in remote and industrial site medical support.
• Advance care paramedic licence and OFA3 certification required.
• Ability to manage medical inventories and on-site documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to workers on remote sites.
• Coordinate with remote on-call physician and prescriptions.
• Maintain up-to-date medical inventory and equipment.
• Document and archive worker health information and incidents.
• Conduct safety audits and site safety inspections.
• Deliver first aid training when required.

Job description

Sirius Wilderness Medecine ( SIRIUSMEDx) is a Canadian company founded in 1990 that specializes in providing medical support services in remote regions. Over the years, we have become the largest provider of remote area safety training in Canada!

• - Experience in a similar position on industrial sites, in remote areas, and with medical evacuations ( MedEvac) ;
  
• - Valid Advanced Care Paramedic licence; ;
• - Possess a valid Occupational First Aid, Level 3 certification, (OFA3) ;
• - Demonstrated adaptability , initiative and resourcefulness ;
• - Being passionate for providing care in remote areas.
  
• - Administering all required to ill or injured workers supported by a remote on‑call physician and our collectives prescriptions ;
• - Keeping inventory of care products and medications up-to-date;
• - Obtaining health histories o f all workers on site and compiling this information into worker files;
• - Provinding first aid training to worke rs ;
• - Conducting audits and inspections of camp safety systems;
• - Participating in site communication procedures ;
• - Documenting and archiving notes regarding any work‑related incident/accident;
• - Performing any other low‑risk related tasks as requested by the client or their representativ e .

Schedule

Rotation every 2 or 3 weeks

Travel

Travel arrangements are managed by the employer, and meal expenses are reimbursed according to the current regulations. You also receive compensation during your travel

Lodging

Employees are accommodated and provided meals at our clients' sites

Our work environment is in remote areas, in communion with nature. The majority of our projects are mining or construction sites!

Starting from $37.95 (based on experience/senority)

Shift

Varies between 10 and 12 hours depending on assignment
