Job summary

Sirius Wilderness Medecine is a Canadian company providing medical support services in remote regions. We are seeking a Primary Care Paramedic with remote-site experience and MedEvac familiarity to join our on-site teams.

You will administer care to workers, manage medical inventories, document health histories, provide first aid training, and participate in site safety audits. Rotation every 2–3 weeks with lodging and meals provided at client sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar position on industrial sites, in remote areas, and with medical evacuations (MedEvac).
• Valid Primary Care Paramedic licence.
• Possess a valid Occupational First Aid, Level 3 certification, (OFA3 ).
• Demonstrated adaptability, initiative and resourcefulness.
• Being passionate for providing care in remote areas.

Responsibilities

• Administering all required to ill or injured workers supported by a remote on-call physician and our collectives prescriptions.
• Keeping inventory of care products and medications up-to-date.
• Obtaining health histories of all workers on site and compiling this information into worker files.
• Provinding first aid training to worke rs.
• Conducting audits and inspections of camp safety systems.
• Participating in site communication procedures.
• Documenting and archiving notes regarding any work-related incident/accident.
• Performing any other low-risk related tasks as requested by the client or their representativ e.

Employees are accommodated and provided meals at our clients' sites.

Schedule

Rotation every 2 or 3 weeks

Travel

Travel arrangements are managed by the employer, and meal expenses are reimbursed according to the current regulations. You also receive compensation during your travel.

Shift

Varies between 10 and 12 hours depending on assignment.
