Strive Living Society in Vernon, BC is seeking a Residence Worker to support adults in our staffed living program on a part-time basis. The role emphasizes personal care, behavior management, and implementing care plans within a community setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Medication Administration Certificate and First Aid/CPR, with a valid driver’s abstract and flexible schedule to support residents and team; professional development opportunities are available.

Pay rate: $27.53/hour

The right candidate should have experience with Behavior Management, Personal Care, as well as a Medication Administration Certificate.

Job Duties Include but not limited to:

• Knowledge and experience working with developmental, physical disabilities, mental health and behaviours
• Ability to create a meaningful routine
• Knowledgeable of creating independence vs. creating dependence
• Following health care plans*
• Completing daily documentation
• Implementing personal protocols, schedules, and activities
• Knowledge and experience with community integration and teaching life skills
• Meet the physical requirement of the role
