Job summary

Evolution Mining in Red Lake, Ontario, is seeking a Land Administrator to manage land tenure, royalties, and permitting for the Red Lake Operation. The role involves coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with land agreements, and supporting exploration activities at a high-grade site.

The position offers a 5/2/4/3 roster (9.5-hour days), residential in Red Lake, with a competitive salary and bonus structure.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assist stakeholders to acquire, maintain and dispose of lands for operational functions of the Red Lake Operation and exploration.
• Ensure compliance with land use agreements, easements, rentals, royalties, joint-ventures, First Nations agreements.
• Maintain land management database protocols and liaise with accounting on taxes.
• Assist exploration superintendent with exploration plans, permits and competitor monitoring.
• Support administration duties and safe practices across the site.
• Communicate with communities about exploration activities; notify surface rights holders.

About the role

The Land Administrator offers an exceptional opportunity to oversee land management and assist with the administration of site related exploration of Evolution Mining Red Lake Operation tenure. This role will Include handling and legal coordination of royalties, land agreements, joint-ventures and exploration related permitting.This role is to recruit for an existing vacancy.

The position will be on a 5/2/4/3 (9.5 – hour day) roster and will be based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario.

We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $72,400 to $97,900 CAD.

Key result areas in this role include:

• Coordinate and assist various stakeholders to acquire, maintain and dispose of required lands for operational functions of the Red Lake Operation and exploration.
• Ensure legal compliance with existing land use and access agreements, easements, rental agreements, royalty reporting, joint-ventures, First Nations agreements, etc.
• Maintain strict land management database protocol using industry best practices.
• Liaise with accounting personnel to maintain municipal and provincial taxes.
• Ensure all Red Lake Operations land tenure in good standing.
• Assist exploration superintendent with competitor monitoring for available staking.
• Liaise with other stakeholders involved in land management issues including accounting, sustainability and the Municipality of Red Lake.
• Foster responsible communication to community regarding exploration activities, ensuring surface rights holders and public are notified.
• Assist geologists in completing assessment reports, including expenditure and figures, if required.
• Assist geologists in submission of exploration plans and permits, in compliance with the Mining Act and the Endangered Species Act.
• Assist exploration superintendent with administration duties.
• Identify and mitigate social and safety hazards related to land activities.
• Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation and commitment to achieve our operation’s goal of being accident-free.
• Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements.
• Adhere to all relevant corporate policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About you

As the Land Administrator, you will need to have at minimum an Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma and must be a Canadian Citizen. It is also important that you have/ can demonstrate:

• Exploration or mining experience is beneficial
• Legal or accounting background is advantageous
• Knowledge of land jurisdictions outside of Ontario
• Knowledgeable in exploration and mining processes
• Thorough knowledge of the Ontario Mining Act
• Computer savvy, especially with GIS software and databases
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills
• Extensive knowledge of MLAS and Ontario government databases
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others
• Competent written and verbal communication skills
• Good time management skills and capable of managing multiple priorities
