Administrative Services Assistant | Public Health

Position Overview

Community Health and Services Centre has an exciting opportunity for a casual Administrative Services Assistant to support multiple clinics within the Public Health portfolio.

Work hours range from 0 to 37.5 per week, with shifts available on short notice or pre-scheduled to cover leaves. Many team members start in casual roles and transition into permanent positions. Responsibilities
  • Perform reception, administrative, and Health Unite Aide support duties, including data entry, preparing presentations, arranging meetings, transcribing minutes, booking travel, and record management.
  • Schedule and confirm client appointments, handle cash transactions, and maintain medical/surgical supplies, equipment, and HCIS resources.
  • Assist with room setup, cleaning, sanitizing toys and equipment, weighing and measuring babies, calibrating equipment, and conducting vision screenings.
Application Requirements
  • A recent (within 48 months) 5-minute typing test (40+ nwpm) from a recognized institution.
  • An office administration certificate from a recognized institution.
  • Your resume outlining at least one year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • A cover letter indicating your availability for start dates and on-call, casual work.
