Administrative Services Assistant | Primary Care

Join our team as a casual Administrative Services Assistant at Yorston Medical Clinic under Interior Health Authority. This role offers variety, valuable experience, and opportunities for career growth. Work hours are flexible, ranging from 0 to 37.5 per week, with shifts available on short notice or pre-scheduled to cover leaves. Many casual employees transition into permanent positions. Responsibilities
  • Perform reception, administrative, and Health Unit Aide duties such as data entry, preparing presentations, arranging meetings, transcribing minutes, booking travel, and record management.
  • Schedule and confirm client appointments, handle cash transactions, and maintain medical supplies and equipment.
  • Assist with cleaning, setting up and dismantling rooms, and sanitizing toys and equipment.
  • Conduct weight and measurement for babies, calibrate equipment, and perform vision screenings.
Application Requirements
  • Complete a recognized 5-minute typing test (40+ nwpm) within the past 48 months. Test details here.
  • Provide an office administration certificate from a recognized institution.
  • Submit a resume outlining at least one year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Include a cover letter indicating your availability for start date and on-call, casual work (specify days of the week).
