Administrative Services Assistant | Mental Health and Substance Use

Join us as an Administrative Services Assistant | Mental Health and Substance Use at Interior Health Authority.

This casual position is based at the Invermere Health Centre in Invermere, BC, supporting Invermere Mental Health and Substance Use Services.

Enjoy variety, gain valuable experience, and explore career growth in our clerical team. Work hours range from 0 to 37.5 per week, with shifts on short notice or pre-scheduled to cover leaves. What Will You Work On?
  • Data entry, including gathering, organizing, collecting, collating, verifying information, and typing correspondence.
  • Preparing presentations, arranging meetings, transcribing minutes, booking travel, and managing records.
  • Scheduling and confirming client appointments, handling cash transactions, and recording/checking balances.
  • Maintaining and cleaning medical/surgical supplies, equipment, and HCIS resources.
  • Cleaning, setting up, and dismantling rooms, sanitizing toys and equipment.
  • Weighing and measuring babies, calibrating equipment, conducting vision screenings.
Application Requirements
  • A recent (within 48 months) 5-minute typing test (40+ nwpm) from a recognized institution.
  • An office administration certificate from a recognized institution.
  • Your Resume showing at least one year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • A Cover Letter indicating your availability for on-call, casual work, including preferred days of the week.
