Job summary

First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) invites applications for an Administrative Coordinator in the Fraser Salish region, based on-site at the Sto:lo Office in Chilliwack. You will provide administration, coordination, and office support for initiatives, projects and regional priorities, ensuring efficient operations and strong stakeholder engagement.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Fraser Salish Regional team and contribute to work that directly supports First Nations health and wellness across the region. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting regional priorities, community engagement activities, operational improvements, and regional events while working alongside a collaborative and dedicated team. The role offers variety, meaningful work, and the opportunity to build relationships across the organization and with First Nations communities.


Title: Administrative Coordinator


Salary: $60,820 - $76,024 - $83,627 per year (pay range explained below)


Contract: Temporary, 6-month contract


Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 8:30am - 4:30pm (core hours Monday - Friday 9:00am - 3:00pm)


Location: On-Site - Sto:lo Office, Chilliwack


About The Role

As the Administrative Coordinator for the Region you will provide administration, coordination, office support, and technical support for the team and its initiatives and projects that advance the mandate and interests of the FNHA. You will be responsible for a range of administrative support including the development and implementation of administrative plans, systems, processes and procedures essential for effective and efficient administration across the regional offices.


About You

To be successful in this role you will have-


Education

  • A diploma in business/office administration or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Experience


  • Relevant, recent and significant experience in an administrative capacity, including provision of services to senior level staff (normally acquired over a period of 3-5 years)

  • Experience working with and in BC First Nations communities and/or organizations

  • Experience in financial administration and oversight

  • Experience utilizing a variety of office tools including Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint

  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information, and matters in a trusted and responsible manner

  • Experience developing and maintain administrative systems, processes and procedures


Knowledge


  • Knowledge of FNHA, and it’s structure and inter-dependencies

  • Knowledge of the work of the FNHA Fraser Salish Regional Team

  • Knowledge of information, records and data management approaches and options

  • Demonstrated senior administrative skills and abilities

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, including the ability to multi-task and set priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated note-taking, minute taking and writing abilities

  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing

  • Ability to effectively coordinate staff or a team of individuals/colleagues Proficient with Microsoft Office suite

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.


Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.


The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
