Job summary

The Doman Building Materials Group Ltd. in Cambridge, ON is seeking an Administrative Clerk to support day-to-day office operations at the treated wood plant.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will enter orders, manage invoices and purchase orders, maintain filing, assist with inventory and document flow, and liaise between Customer Service and the plant to optimize service and accuracy.   • Ability to communicate effectively with internal staff and work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between Customer Service and the plant.
  • Entering orders efficiently and accurately into the order system.
  • Relay vital information to operations team members.
  • Support the national office’s administrative duties as required.
  • Assist with daily order invoicing and receipt of purchase orders.
  • Assist with inventory control.
  • Perform daily filing, photocopying, and document scanning.
  • Assist with cross-checking order confirmations to ensure accuracy.
  • Sort incoming parcels and mail and distribute them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Manage return procedures.
  • Assist the Shipping Department with document flow.
  • Enter accounting codes and prepare payments.
  • Assist with processing supplier claims (branches and national accounts).
  • Generate and distribute various daily reports.

SUMMARY

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
  • The typical hiring range for this position is $45,000 - $50,000 annually. The base pay offered is based on geographical location and may vary depending on the applicant’s job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. Similar positions located in other geographical locations may not necessarily receive the same salary range. The compensation information is an estimate and provided to meet with applicable provincial Pay Transparency legislation.
