Schedule

The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 7 hours a day, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, subject to change based on departmental needs.

Duties

Provides a wide range of administrative, clerical, and financial support services to the Bob Gaglardi School of Business and Economics.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supports the Dean's Office by organizing workflow, setting priorities, resolving daily issues, and handling sensitive materials.
  • Schedules tasks, deadlines, and milestones; monitors project resources and budgets; reports on project progress.
  • Performs secretarial duties including managing calls, correspondence, contracts, and agreements.
  • Prepares requisitions for purchasing and arranges meetings and appointments.
  • Prepares and tracks HR requisitions, liaises with HR and Finance departments, and participates in hiring panels.
  • Prepares agendas, takes minutes, and manages internal and external communications, including website maintenance.
  • Coordinates travel, events, and external communications; manages office supplies and mail.
  • Acts as liaison with external agencies and maintains records and files.
  • Researches and produces reports, newsletters, and statistical data.

  • Courteous and tactful interaction with staff, students, and vendors.
  • Independent action, organization, prioritization, attention to detail, and equipment operation skills.
Working Conditions
  • Office environment with prolonged sitting and computer use.

The salary is determined by the CUPE Collective Agreement, Grade 08 (90%-100%), with a pay band of $30.68 - $34.09 per hour. The position may be subject to a 90% salary for the first 560 hours.
