About the Opportunity

The Administrative Assistant provides confidential, comprehensive administrative support to the Director and their managers, coordinating daily operations, acting as liaison among staff, and facilitating communication and meetings across NS Health. This role also supports committees and groups as assigned and works closely with the Executive Assistant of the Senior Director IM/IT, providing backup and support to the IM/IT Senior Leadership Team.

About You

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Post-Secondary diploma in office administration, business administration, or secretarial program
  • 5-7 years of progressively responsible administrative experience, preferably in healthcare and within an integrated service model
  • Undergraduate degree (asset)
  • IAAP certification (asset)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Advanced skills in office practices, technology, and meeting technologies
  • Experience in meeting planning to improve efficiency
  • Proficiency in typing with accuracy and speed

Hours

This is a long-term, full-time hybrid position (work from home and in-office), approximately 75 hours bi-weekly for about 18 months (subject to change). Travel to other sites may be required.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly rate: $24.26 - $30.32

Benefits may include health, dental, travel, long-term disability, life insurance, and a defined benefit pension plan.
