Job description

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs organizational and administrative support to the Program.
  • Types correspondence related to the department.
  • Transcription of medical/legal assessment reports; some editing and reformatting as required.
  • Maintenance of clinical filing system.
  • Interaction with clinical consultants and patients as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a recognized secretarial program or equivalent experience.
  • Accurate typing/word processing skills at the 55-75 wpm level.
  • Knowledge of Medical/Legal terminology a definite asset.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access and SPSS.
  • Proficient with Lotus Notes/Domino is an asset.
  • Experience with motor vehicle accident legislation.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10-CA and CCI health classification codes.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to function in a busy environment, prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a timely fashion.
  • Must have an excellent attendance record.
