Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs organizational and administrative support to the Program.
- Types correspondence related to the department.
- Transcription of medical/legal assessment reports; some editing and reformatting as required.
- Maintenance of clinical filing system.
- Interaction with clinical consultants and patients as necessary.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized secretarial program or equivalent experience.
- Accurate typing/word processing skills at the 55-75 wpm level.
- Knowledge of Medical/Legal terminology a definite asset.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access and SPSS.
- Proficient with Lotus Notes/Domino is an asset.
- Experience with motor vehicle accident legislation.
- Knowledge of ICD-10-CA and CCI health classification codes.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to function in a busy environment, prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a timely fashion.
- Must have an excellent attendance record.
