Administrative Assistant (1-Year Contract, with Option to Renew)

Hours: 20 hours per week (Flexible Schedule)

Location: 6225 Godfrey ave Montreal, QC

Reports to: Executive Director

About Us: New Hope is a not-for-profit organization committed to supporting seniors through meaningful programming and community-based services. We are currently seeking an organized and detail-oriented bilingual Administrative Assistant to help manage our financial and administrative operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to grow with our organization and be part of a passionate, mission-driven team.

Position Summary: The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day financial and administrative systems. Working closely with the Executive Director, the successful candidate will handle billing, assist with payroll, and provide administrative support for our Meals on Wheels and day programming services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and maintain billing systems for Meals on Wheels and Day programming
  2. Assist with payroll duties and ensure accurate financial tracking
  3. Support the Executive Director in managing financial systems and reporting
  4. Oversee day-to-day financial operations and ensure systems are functioning effectively
  5. Assist with administrative tasks and general office duties as needed, such as data entry

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  1. Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written)
  2. Experience with QuickBooks, Excel, POS systems, and Salesforce (an asset)
  3. Strong organizational and time management skills
  4. Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  5. Comfortable working with financial data and administrative processes
  6. Interest in long-term growth within the organization

Benefits:
