Job summary

Sobeys is seeking a Receiver at an independently owned Sobeys affiliate store location to deliver friendly, professional service and ensure accurate receiving of products.

You will verify packing slips, enter product data into SAP, Chainware or Assist, maintain logs, stock the back shop, and assist unloading deliveries while keeping the area clean and safe. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Above average communication skills (oral and written).
• Comfort with lifting up to 20 lbs and physical tasks as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide internal and external customer service to meet all customers' needs.
• Receive all incoming product, verify packing slips to goods, key in product information into the receiving system (SAP, Chainware or Assist).
• Ensure company receiving policies and procedures are followed and logs are completed daily.
• Maintain back shop; assist with unloading delivery.
• Ensure that all equipment is in good working order by reporting any unsafe equipment or conditions.
• Communicate with store management and staff about shipments; provide updates as required.
• Help build displays and assist with ordering.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment per company requirements.

The Receiver is responsible for providing customers with friendly, professional service. The Receiver will work with the manager(s) to ensure that products are accurately received. Actively contributes to an environment of employee and customer engagement.

Here's where you'll have an impact:
