House of Friendship in Kitchener, Ontario, is hiring two Addiction Treatment Workers to support program participants and facilitate groups within Addiction Services. The roles are permanent, full-time (37.5 hrs/week) with benefits, vacation, and a defined contribution pension plan.

Police Records Check required prior to employment. Two postings exist: Day Treatment (Mon-Fri, 8:30–4:30) and Cambridge Live-In Treatment (Sun–Thu, 3:00–11:00).

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level education or diploma in social services, addictions, or related field.
• Knowledge of substance use and recovery-oriented interventions.
• Experience in social service settings is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Supervise the residence and ensure program guidelines are followed.
• Build rapport with participants using a strengths-based approach.
• Facilitate psychoeducational and recreational groups.
• Provide support with external providers and medical interventions as needed.
• Assess and respond to complex situations with crisis planning and risk assessment.
• Complete administrative tasks and maintain confidentiality.
