Job summary

House of Friendship is seeking an Addiction Treatment Worker for the Cambridge Live-In Treatment program. The role involves supporting participants, facilitating groups, and coordinating with the staff team.

The position is permanent and part-time (7.5 hours/week) with weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 7:45am–3:45pm). A Police Records Check (Vulnerable Sector) is required pre-employment; options for additional shifts in Cambridge and Kitchener are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum college diploma or university degree in related field.
• Knowledge of substances and recovery-oriented interventions.
• Experience in social services is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the residence to ensure program guidelines are followed.
• Facilitate psychoeducational and recreational groups.
• Support program participants and coordinate with external providers.
• Complete documentation and data entry per PHIPA requirements.
• Schedule and conduct random urine drug screens.
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing training.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members.
