Job summary

Trillium Health Partners is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for the Mississauga Hospital site. The role involves assessment, treatment, and counseling of swallowing and communication disorders in Oncology, General Medicine, and Surgery, with collaboration across care teams.

The candidate will educate staff and students, contribute to clinical education annually, and support hospital-wide SLP needs with flexible caseloads.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Licensed with the College of Audiologists & Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
• Experience with assessment and management of swallowing and communication disorders in an acute care setting.
• Experience with Surgical patients.
• Experience with Oncology and Palliative care patients preferred.
• Current experience with VFSS (video fluoroscopic swallowing studies).
• MBSImp certification preferred; if not certified, willingness to pursue.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, treatment and counselling of swallowing and communication disorders for THP Mississauga Hospital patients.
• Collaborate with other health care professionals to provide patient- and family-centered care.
• Educate and train staff, family, students and volunteers to maximize patient goals.
• Contribute to the SLP service to enhance quality within the organization and community.
