The Actuarial Co-op Student will support calculations testing, defect investigations, monthly benefit revaluations, and data analysis to strengthen controls and accuracy, under the Director’s guidance.

The Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) is a defined benefit (DB) pension plan that is dedicated to providing a secure retirement income to more than 500,000 members in Ontario's healthcare sector. More than 900 employers across the province offer HOOPP to their employees. The Plan Operations Division is responsible for providing service to members in order to deliver on HOOPP's pension promise. Reporting to the Director, Actuarial Solutions, the Actuarial Co-op Student will support actuarial testing, data analysis, and calculation quality control activities. This role provides hands-on exposure to actuarial & pension calculations, system changes, and defect analysis, with a focus on improving accuracy and strengthening control processes.
The expected hourly rate range for this role is $24.00 to $35.00 The actual hourly rate offered to the successful candidate may vary based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, individual's expertise and level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered.
