Job summary

PwC Canada is seeking a Summer Intern in our Risk Services practice, Actuarial Property & Casualty. You will support IFRS 17 audits, valuation, pricing, and risk modelling under guidance from senior actuaries.

The program includes hands-on client work, exposure to AI and digital tools, and leadership meetings. You will learn how organizations identify, assess, and respond to risk while building relationships and gaining experience across actuarial consulting, climate risk, and data analytics.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or related field.
• Actively working towards CIA/CAS designation.
• Experience with reserving and actuarial tools is an asset.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word).
• Experience with data tools (Tableau/Alteryx/VBA) is an asset.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support IFRS 17 actuarial components and liabilities review.
• Assist with valuation, pricing, solvency and capital management tasks.
• Contribute to model development, validation and risk management activities.
• Collaborate across PwC teams on cross-functional projects.
