Job summary

Willis Towers Watson is seeking an actuarial intern to support our consulting team in Canada. You will assist with data reconciliation, pricing, loss reserving, and forecasting across life, health and property lines.

You will work closely with senior staff and learn to prepare reports and client-ready materials. The role emphasizes teamwork, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science or related field.
• Actively pursuing an actuarial designation with a recognized professional association.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Effective time management and ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• Experience with MS Office, especially Excel, plus Word/PowerPoint.
• Experience handling large data sets using R, Python or SQL.

Responsibilities

• Provide actuarial and analytics support on insurance lines including pricing, loss reserving and forecasting.
• Assist senior consultants with data reconciliation, reports and client presentations.
• Leverage technical skills to streamline processes and increase efficiencies.
• Prepare research and presentation material for new client prospects.
