What is your opportunity?
You will be responsible for supporting actuarial and risk management functions for individual life non-participating products.
What will you do?
Supporting and enhancing the actuarial and risk management functions for individual life non-participating products. This includes support for month-end valuation and reporting, mortality studies and actuarial modelling.
Working with the business and other functional partners on strategic projects and tactical actions, and assist these areas in achieving their goals
Support regulatory changes, for example, IFRS 17 enhancements.
Preparing, distributing and helping interpret actuarial or financial reports for internal and external use.
Participating in projects involving product development, pricing, reserving and reinsurance issues.
Gathering and analyzing relevant data from a variety of sources using multiple actuarial tools and techniques.
Assisting in implementing policies and practices for the design and pricing of insurance financial products.
What will you need to succeed?
Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree (or above) majoring in Actuarial Science. Other relevant Majors (e.g. Business, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics) are acceptable if accompanied with demonstrated knowledge of Actuarial concepts
ASA with 6 or more actuarial exams is required
Actuarial/insurance experience of 3 or more years with demonstrated knowledge of professional standards of practice, the legislative environment and industry best-practices
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be an innovative thinker and understand the "big picture"
High energy, results-oriented self-starter with the ability to achieve under tight deadlines in a rewarding and fast-paced environment
Strong working experience with GGY AXIS and MS Excel
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both technical and non-technical audiences
Nice-to-Haves:
Working experience with Power BI, R or Tableau
Experience working with teams across different platforms
