Job summary

Pacific Life Re in Bermuda seeks a Manager, Corporate Actuarial focusing on Bermuda regulatory requirements for the Savings & Retirement business. You will oversee SBA, EBS/BSCR submissions and regulatory reporting, partnering with CA, DBS, and senior leadership.

The role demands a strong actuarial background, 5+ years in life reinsurance, and proven ability to drive regulatory change, implement processes, and mentor a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary with 5+ years in life insurance or life reinsurance.
• Knowledge of Bermuda regulatory frameworks, including Insurance Act, EBS, BSCR and SBA.
• Experience preparing or supporting regulatory submissions, approvals and reporting to the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA).
• Strong understanding of regulatory capital, solvency and reporting requirements for life and annuity insurers.
• Experience interacting with regulators, external advisors, auditors and industry bodies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee BMA requirements impacting the S&R line of business, including regulatory reporting and SBA applications.
• Lead and coordinate the preparation, review, and submission of BMA applications and regulatory approvals.
• Monitor changes to BMA rules and drive implementation in the S&R business.
• Coordinate responses to BMA inquiries and regulatory reviews with accuracy and timeliness.
• Mentor team members and drive process improvements within the reporting function.
