Job summary

Qualifications

• Typically 1–4 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree or equivalent.
• Enrolled in the actuarial program and completed 3 to 4 exams.
• Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute calculations and analyses for regulatory and management reporting.
• Extract and compile actuarial data to ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Support strategic initiatives with internal and external stakeholders.
• Build effective relationships with stakeholders.
• Break down strategic problems and provide insights and recommendations.
• Assist with calculations for Appointed Actuary opinions.
• Review outputs from models used for the Appointed Actuary’s opinion.
• Review actuarial issues for signoff by the Appointed Actuary.
• Focus may be on a business/group.
• Think creatively and propose new solutions.
