Job summary

Foresters Financial seeks an Actuarial Analyst for Capital Management to support quarterly LICAT regulatory capital reporting and assist with forecasting and capital initiatives. You will work with AXIS and Excel, interacting with actuarial and finance partners in a dynamic environment.

The role offers exposure to LICAT, RBC, Solvency II, and excess deployable capital, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and audit activities within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, science, business, economics or related field.
• 1-2 years actuarial experience in life/health insurance is asset.
• SOA exams progress or intent to pursue with goal of FSA/FCIA.
• Experience with AXIS, Excel and databases; SQL Server is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support quarterly LICAT regulatory capital filing using AXIS and Excel.
• Forecast LICAT capital ratios ahead of quarter-end.
• Assess impact of actuarial basis changes on LICAT ratios and support capital initiatives.
• Contribute to materials for Capital Management Committee meetings.
• Provide LICAT input to pricing or ORSA-related analyses with guidance.
