In accordance with the vision and values of the organization and under the general supervision of a senior position such as a Recreation Therapist, Program Coordinator, Registered Nurse, or Occupational Therapist, the Activity Worker is a member of the multidisciplinary team within a client- and family-centered model of care. The role is responsible for carrying out an established activity, recreation, or leisure program as directed.
New Wage : As of April 1, 2024, the new wage is : $29.83 / hour
Shift Rotation / Hours of work : Monday to Friday, Days, Evenings - 08 : 30 to 16 : 30, 12 : 30 to 20 : 30. There are three evening shifts per month and occasional weekends for special programs.
The Rotary Manor Complex consists of two buildings : the main area and the three-story tower, joined by a glassed walkway. All areas are bright, with lots of natural sunlight and pleasant décor. It includes 115 publicly subsidized beds, two private rooms for respite care, and two private rooms for community palliative needs. The recreation department offers various activities during the day, as well as groups that come in during the daytime and evening, such as school children for the Grand Buddy program, singers and musicians, church groups, etc. The Adult Day Away Program integrates some of their activities with the facility recreation program.
