Shifts, Time, and Days : Full Time, Tuesday-Saturday, weekend availability

Pay Range : $18-$19 / hour (depends on experience)

The Activity Coordinator is responsible for assisting with organizing, scheduling, promoting, facilitating, and directing activities and excursions for Traditions Memory Care to enhance residents’ independence and quality of life, in accordance with the company’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Memory Care Director in providing an interesting, creative, and rewarding social atmosphere throughout the secured Traditions area. Promote resident participation through regularly scheduled high-quality activities, excursions, special events, guest speakers, movie showings, exercise sessions, clubs, games, art and creativity opportunities, educational classes, and other activities.
  • Communicate effectively and display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
  • Able to drive community vehicles.
  • Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prefer one (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors
  • Requires current Class C, preferably Class B driver license to transport residents
  • Able to operate a personal computer and proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • For health and safety, Oakmont Management Group may require vaccination, daily screening, surveillance testing, and use of face coverings and PPE to prevent the spread of COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
